Running cross-platform workshops with one rehearsal doc
workshops · cross-platform
Cross-platform weeks used to feel like dueling keynotes. Now every instructor shares a rehearsal doc the Friday before: learning objective, live demo risk, fallback recording path, and expected artifact from learners. The doc is stack-agnostic on purpose.
During the session, we alternate stack-specific deep dives with paired exercises that focus on product judgment—latency budgets, honest release notes, accessibility spot checks. Learners carry one notebook across both days so they synthesize instead of siloing.
We still publish stack-specific office hours afterward; the workshop simply refuses to pretend two ecosystems are identical. That honesty lowered refund questions because expectations were set early.
If you borrow the format, keep the rehearsal doc short. Bullets beat paragraphs when everyone is tired.
